About the Opportunity

As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the exceptional standards Mercedes-Benz customers expect. You'll specialise in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs across the Mercedes-Benz Passenger and Van range, working with industry-leading diagnostic equipment and manufacturer support.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Master Technician looking to further develop their expertise while mentoring others and working in a collaborative, high-performing workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics across the Mercedes-Benz Passenger and Van range.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
  • Work closely with Mercedes-Benz Australia to resolve technical issues and implement manufacturer updates.
  • Complete repairs efficiently in accordance with Mercedes-Benz repair procedures and labour standards.
  • Conduct road tests and quality inspections to achieve exceptional first-time fix rates.
  • Mentor and support fellow technicians while continuously developing your technical expertise through ongoing manufacturer training.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification).
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a senior technician or diagnostic role.
  • Advanced diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and interpreting technical information.
  • A current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative workshop team.
  • Previous Mercedes-Benz experience is highly regarded but not essential.
